Schola Minervae: remaking and relaunching

Salutations, Over the last year I have received constant similar feedback from the rapier community: many desire more clear goals, direct in...

What is the Schola Minervae?

Have you ever felt frustrated with the way your fencing skills are progressing? Do you get conflicting advice, or advice that's so vague it becomes useless to you? Do you wish you had a clear path forward that you could walk with confidence that it will get you to where you want to go? Do you want direct support from capable teachers and a community of fencers who share your goals?

Consider the Schola Minervae the antidote for what ails you.

Headquartered in the Kingdom of Atlantia, the Schola Minervae is an SCA guild dedicated to the study, teaching, and performance of Italian rapier fencing from the late 16th and early 17th centuries.

Named for the Roman goddess of wisdom, strategy, and defensive warfare, the Schola Minervae focuses on a skills-based training progression that provides both students and teachers with an organized framework and a clear set of expectations at every step along the journey to expert.

The Schola Minervae boasts equal support for both teachers and students, giving guidance and feedback for both. We believe that it is impossible to foster a healthy and positive learning community without quality instructors and oversight of their methods.

Your success is our chief concern.
